A photograph you love? A landscape that moved you? A portrait of someone dear to you?
To me, what matters most is creating something that holds a memory, a piece of your story that will stay with you for years to come.
Every time I receive a commission, I try to stay as faithful to the original photograph as possible.
Charcoal is my medium of choice, so I only create black-and-white drawings.
HOW DOES IT WORKS ?
STEP 1 — GET IN TOUCH
Tell me about your project — a photograph, an idea, a story, or simply something you have in mind. You don’t need to have every detail figured out at this stage.
This first conversation allows me to understand your project and confirm what can be created.
STEP 2 — THE REFERENCE PHOTO
Once we’ve made initial contact, you can send me your reference photo(s), along with any inspiration you may have.
From there, I’ll help you choose the format that works best for your photograph, your vision, and your budget.
STEP 3 — THE QUOTE
I’ll then send you a detailed quote, including the selected format and an estimated number of hours required to complete your drawing.
This estimate is based mainly on the level of detail in your reference photograph and the size of the artwork.
If the drawing takes less time than initially estimated, your final payment will be adjusted accordingly. If it takes longer than expected, don’t worry — the price stated in your quote will never be exceeded.
STEP 4 — PAYMENT
To confirm your commission and begin the creative process, a first payment of 50% of the estimated total is required.
The remaining balance is due once the artwork is completed and approved, before shipping.
STEP 5 — CREATION & SHIPPING
Once the first payment has been received, I’ll begin by creating the initial sketch. When the sketch is ready, I’ll send you a photograph so we can make sure the composition and main elements feel right before I continue with the charcoal drawing.
I’ll then work on your piece through to the final details.
Once your drawing is complete and the remaining balance has been received, your artwork will be carefully prepared and shipped to your chosen address, free of charge.
Every commissioned artwork comes with a handwritten thank-you card and a certificate of authenticity.
